Kinga Ociepka – the first female ascent of Próba Turinga 8b+
On 23 June, Kinga Ociepka (The North Face, AMC, Five Ten) made the first female ascent of the route Próba Turinga 8b+. Próba Turinga, first led by Piotr Kruczek, is one of the Polish classics of this grade. It is the most difficult route in Bedkowska Valley (near Krakow) and at the same time one of the most demanding technically climbs in the Krakow area.

Kinga Ociepka is one of the best Polish climbers. Her successes include several routes in Mišja Peč – Strelovod 8c (2010), Missing Drink 8b+ (2010), and also Club de la ducha 8b+ in the Sella area (2008) and Gemnis 8b+ in Rodellar (2006).
